Devon and Tabitha eloped at City of the Rocks in eastern Idaho, surrounded by gorgeous ivory granite that rises and folds like an underground ocean of coral. Their small retro yellow car sat nearby. As they moved through the evening, getting ready and sharing quiet moments, they spoke about one another with a tenderness that felt natural and unforced. It was extra special to witness Tabitha writing a love note prior to their ceremony. Photographed on both film and digital, I wanted to make sure the moment truly captured the texture of the smooth stone and the softness of the moment. As the sun lowered, the rock formations shifted from ivory to pale blue, settling the evening into a calm, blue light stillness. Surrounded by a small group of incredible artists, they said their vows and commitment in a way that felt deeply personal. It was truly a special day.
